Tried to play the file with Windows Player but that didn't work. Priliminary testing: Nero- I tried loading the AVSEQ01.MPG in Nero under the SVCD Template. Sorry, I don't know how to build a brand new (S)VCD from AVSEQ01.DAT (I ususlly need to subtitle them, I never do that conversion). And all of you: thanks for your suggestions. I've searched the internet and found a few suggestions. Therefore, the 44.1Khz audio track from the SVCD needs to be transcoded to a DVD compliant 48Khz audio track.

I really don't know if TMPGenc can load it, just because I never did it. You must specify this offset when multiplexing the primative streams to avoid audio/video desynchronization.

I have also tried Handbreak and iSkysoft iMedia Converter Deluxe and neither of these work. What is AVSEQ01.mpg? Divide the the output of mpeg2desc by 90000 to obtain an offset measured in seconds suitable for mplex. I only know a method to convert it into a true MPEG file: run VCDEasy, then go to Tools --> MPEG Tools --> Cdxa2mpeg.
