But still the issue is not solved and getting confused to take to service center. If still nothing, most likely it's bad memory or motherboard problem. you need to be really patient in the process and the process needs to be done in a quiet place. I’ve not seen a bad CPU fan cause a PC not to POST but am I wrong? Finding the real trouble will be challenging. We service Sony VAIO and we are just an hour down the road.

I do not know what it could be. Lastly sell the remaining skeletoon for $40 on ebay..just mention that the screen is fine...that's the money maker there. Now, use that money toward a working laptop that was once someone else's broken laptop and fixed by a tech. Anyways, I tested for continuity between both positive and negative connections for the jack again (just to make sure) with no issues. Source I will keep researching to find someone out there willing teach more advance stuff repairing laptop motherboard.

Also, there are several shops in Tucson or further south that will do an evaluation for $35 to $55 that might be worth it by saving you money in the long

I always recommend buying an original replacement adapter from the manufacturer, not a generic one. The motherboard has been removed from the base and I assembled a basic barebone system on my bench. It became finicky and i would have to wiggle the power cord connecter to get it to register as being plugged in. Try reconnecting it, replacing with another known good memory.

Sorry about the rant. i have a problem with it. Test system with an external monitor.
