Power savings kicks in. when i read your post, the first thing that came to mind is power management, as it relates to the BIOS supporting it. Do you have any other ideas as to the potential culprit? As far as hardware I have not found any that I can not use on the mac, except some of the low budget video cards that pc's can use, and yes Does that lead us to any other ideas? So I think it was how the video driver was working and/or interacting with the OS.
